Man held in connection with Mongan murder

A man was arrested today by police in connection with murder of John Mongan in west Belfast.

Mr Mongan, 30, was hacked and beaten to death in front of his heavily-pregnant wife at their Fallswater Street home in February.

Police are questioning a 24-year-old, arrested following searches in the Rosemount and Shantallow areas of Derry.

Two men and a youth have already been charged with the killing.
