New concerns about safety of Dublin Port Tunnel

Fresh concerns have been raised today regarding the safety of the Dublin Port Tunnel.

A study by experts from EGIS has found that the tunnel's control and data system is unsuitable to ensure its safe operation.

The study says the system generates dangerous situations and is not reliable.

Fine Gael is calling on the Minister for Transport to clarify the concerns and reassure drivers that their safety is not being put at risk.
