Budget to top agenda at Cabinet meeting

The shape of next month's Budget is expected to dominate the agenda as government ministers gather for their regular Cabinet meeting today after its 11-week summer break.

The Budget has been brought forward this year in response to the massive deterioration in the public finances over recent months.
