Alzheimer’s day celebrated worldwide

Today is World Alzheimer's day and events are taking place internationally to raise awareness about the disease, which affects 24 million people around the world.

In Ireland, 40,000 people suffer with the condition, and this is expected to increase to more than 100,000 by the year 2036.
