Crash investigators hope to interview helicopter pilot
Air accident investigators say they hope to interview the pilot of the helicopter which crashed in Co Meath later today.
The aircraft came down next to the Old Neptune Hotel in Bettystown shortly before 5pm yesterday evening.
The pilot and two other people on the ground received minor injuries.
Chief Investigator Jurgen White has said they are still trying to establish exactly what happened.
"The site is secured by An Garda Siochana conducting a detailed examination and during the day it would be our intention to recover the wreckage to our facility in Gormanstown.
"We have had brief communication with the pilot and we are having formal interviews with him today," he said.
