PDs 'no longer viable', says leader
The Progressive Democrats are expected to officially bow out of Irish politics next month.
The PD's two Senators and two TDs say the party is no longer politically viable.
The parliamentary party met last night in Co Kildare and held talks with its Councillors to discuss winding up the Progressive Democrats after 23 years.
The party suffered a devastating blow in last year's General Election, returning just two members.
