Athlone attack may be linked to previous assaults

Gardaí were today investigating possible links between a serious assault on a 19-year-old woman in Athlone and three similar attacks.

The woman was set upon on the Old Dublin Road in the town at around 2.30am today, near where three other women have been attacked in the last 18 months.
