O'Keeffe questions if colleges give value for money
The Minister for Education says he is investigating whether or not third-level institutions are giving good value for money.
Batt O'Keeffe says the Comptroller and Auditor General as well as his own Department are looking closely at the way public money is spent in colleges and universities.
The Minister was also questioned at what income level threshold third level fees might be applied.
He hinted that the days of the super rich not paying for third-level education are coming to an end.
