Two-car collision causes delays in Ballinasloe

Gardaí are dealing with a two-car crash at Garbally, one kilometre west of Ballinasloe on the N6 Dublin to Galway road.

The AA says traffic from Galway is being diverted at Cahir Cross towards Ahascragh adding about 20 minutes to the journey.

Dublin traffic is not being diverted, but there are up to 30-minute delays.

The road is not expected to reopen fully until 5.30pm.
