Cross-party committee to examine future in Europe

Ireland's future in Europe is to be explored by a cross-party political committee, the government announced today.

The move will spark a new national debate about our role in the EU after the rejection of the Lisbon Treaty, said Foreign Affairs Minister Micheal Martin.
