Hotel destroyed in Wexford fire

A hotel in Co Wexford has been completely destroyed by a fire.

The Pines Country House Hotel is located about seven miles outside Gorey Town.

Staff and residents had to be evacuated from the building when the blaze broke out at about 8pm last night.

Seven fire units attended the scene.

The blaze has now been brought under control, but there are still some units at the scene putting out the final stages.

No one was injured, and it is not yet known how the fire started.

The family run hotel had 12 bedrooms, and had just been renovated in July.
