Cocaine haul seized in raid on gang

Almost €700,000 worth of cocaine was seized today by gardaí who targeted a criminal gang.

Three men were arrested by officers involved in the operation against organised crime elements.

A garda spokesman said during the search of a house at the Castletroy View housing estate in Limerick city a quantity of cocaine was recovered which, depending on forensic analysis, may have a street value of up to €700,000.

Two men in their 20s and one in his 40s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under the provisions of s.2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
