Gardaí release man held in connection with Cork murder
Gardaí in Cork have released a man they were holding in connection with the murder of David Brett.
The 35-year-old father of four's body was found outside a national school near Ballydesmond in Co Cork, in May of last year where he had been shot dead.
Yesterday Gardaí arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with their investigation.
He was detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act before being released without charge this morning.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
