Search underway for missing Cork teen

A major search operation is underway in Co Cork today for a teenager who has been missing since yesterday evening.

The 14-year-old boy from Bantry, phoned his parents last night to say that he was returning home, but when he failed to arrive they raised the alarm.

Civil Defence, Bantry Inshore Rescue and members of the boy’s family and friends are all taking part in the search.

The coastguard helicopter searched the coastline earlier, but without success.
