Kenny attacks Cowen in speech to summer school

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has launched a stinging attack on the Taoiseach during the Humbert Summer School in Ballina this morning.

Mr Kenny told the audience that Brian Cowen was able to convince the public he was a tough-talking action man, but his biggest problem would be his habit of appeasement.

He also accused the Taoiseach of caving in to vested interests and said the Government was more concerned about taking its summer holidays than taking action on the economy.
