Man dies as car collides with parked truck

A man has died when a car and a truck were in collision on a road in Co Limerick early this morning.

The crash happened at around 2.30am on the Rathkeale Bypass.

The dead man was a passenger in a car that collided with a parked truck.

The driver of the car was also hospitalised.

The road was closed earlier for technical examination, but has since reopened to traffic.
