Unemployment rate up to 5.1% in second quarter

Ireland's unemployment rate rose from 4.8% to 5.1% in the second quarter of this year, according to the latest figures from the CSO.

The statistics agency says 115,500 people were unemployed in the second quarter, an increase of more than 15,000 over the previous 12 months.
