A four-car crash is causing chaos for motorists travelling northbound on the M50 in Dublin this morning.

A four-car crash is causing chaos for motorists travelling northbound on the M50 in Dublin this morning.

The collision happened just before the Firhouse exit, causing tailbacks of more than 6kms.

Traffic is at a standstill on all approaches to the Sandyford Industrial Estate and there are also delays on the Drumartin link.

Meanwhile, traffic flow has returned to normal on the Merrion Road in the south of the city after delays earlier this morning when a truck caught fire just before 7am at Nutley Lane.
