Five questioned over illegal fuel laundering in North
Police in the North have questioned five men this week following an operation targeting the sale of illegally laundered fuel.
Four of the men were detained on Tuesday during searches of commercial and private premises in Belfast, Kilkeel, Newry and Lurgan.
The fifth presented himself to the PSNI yesterday.
Almost 4,000 litres of fuel was seized during the operation along with two flat-bed lorries and eight cars.
Custom officers say the seizures followed several months of surveillance targeting the sale of laundered green diesel to commercial users across the North.
