Workers from Iralco in Collinstown, Co Westmeath are to meet the company's prospective new owners this weekend, for a presentation on the future of the company.

Galway based manufacturer CF Tooling conditionally agreed to purchase the business just over a week ago, after the company, which produces components for the motor industry, went into liquidation in April despite having plenty of orders on its books.

The company employs 420 people and has manufactured automotive parts in Ireland since 1964, generating an estimated €8m a year for the local economy.
