Further flooding hits villages in west Limerick
Parts of Limerick have been hit by further flooding less than a week after torrential downpours caused millions of euros worth of damage in the town of Newcastle-West.
Heavy downpours yesterday evening left several areas in the west of the county under water and a number of roads impassable.
The villages of Templeglantine and Athea were worst affected.
Water levels are also rising on the River Arra in Newcastle-West, which bore the brunt of last week's floods.
