A man arrested in connection with the murder of Jean Quigley in Derry has been taken to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell.

A man arrested in connection with the murder of Jean Quigley in Derry has been taken to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell.

The 36-year-old was detained in Donegal town last night in connection with the murder of the 30-year-old mother-of-four at her home in Derry's Cornshell Fields estate on July 26.

However, he was taken to hospital before he could be questioned after complaining of feeling ill.

Gardaí say they will begin to interrogate him when he is released from hospital and returned to Ballyshannon garda station.
