A former Aer Lingus chief executive sacked amid allegations of sexual harassment has settled a long-running dispute with the airline, it was revealed today.

Michael Foley was dismissed in June 2001 following claims by two female employees and has been embroiled in legal wrangling with the carrier for several years.
