The Philippines has removed a ban on the importation of Irish beef.

The Philippines has removed a ban on the importation of Irish beef.

The ban was put in place following the BSE crisis in Europe in November 2000.

The Minister for Agriculture, Brendan Smith has said that the news represents another breakthrough in regaining markets closed because of BSE.
