Water conservation notice issued following flooding in Limerick
A drinking water conservation notice is in place in Limerick following overnight flooding.
Limerick Co Council says there was a month's rainfall in five hours.
Newcastle West was flooded when the River Arra burst its banks and thousands of homes were without power for a number of hours.
The Minister in charge of the Office of Public Works Martin Mansergh is due to visit the area this evening to assess the damage.
