Operation launched to rescue woman from mountains

An operation has been launched to rescue a woman who has been injured in the Comeragh Mountains in Co Waterford.

South East Mountain Rescue says it was alerted by the ambulance service at around 1pm.

The woman is understood to have sustained an injury to her lower leg while visiting a local beauty spot.
