Woman dies after being rescued from sea off Lahinch

A woman has died in hospital after being rescued from the sea at Lahinch in Co Clare yesterday evening.

A search was launched after the woman got into difficulty while swimming with her family close to the lifeguard tower at around 9.30pm.
