Gilmore: Important debate doesn't focus on EU institutions

Labour Party leader Eamon Gilmore TD has said that it is “important Ireland does not become fixated on a never-ending debate about European institutions”.

Speaking on RTE Radio today, Mr Gilmore said: “It is important that we don’t become preoccupied with talking about nothing else in politics except Europe. We have had a referendum. There has been a result in the referendum. There are other issues on the national agenda, in particular, concerns about the economy.
