Bord Gáis prices to rise by 20% from September

The energy regulator has approved substantial price increases that will see the price of gas rise by 20% in the coming months.

The Commission for Energy Regulation says most of the increase arises from the cost of procuring gas from the international markets, over which Bord Gáis has little control.
