LRC intervenes in dispute over HSE job freeze
The Labour Relations Commission has invited IMPACT and the HSE to talks over the recruitment freeze in the health service.
IMPACT members have been engaged in industrial action since May in protest at the move, refusing to cover posts left vacant by the jobs freeze and refusing to work overtime.
The union says services are being undermined by the loss of more than 2,700 jobs since last year.
Talks on the matter are due to get underway at the LRC tomorrow.
