Two held over fatal attack in Dublin this month
A young man and woman were arrested today in connection with the death of a man in Dublin after an alleged assault.
Detectives are questioning the pair, both 18-years-old, over the circumstances surrounding the death of David Rooney in Crumlin earlier this month.
The 35-year-old, of Durrow Road, Crumlin, was taken to hospital after an alleged attack on Clonmacnoise Road on July 2.
He died ten days later at St James’ Hospital.
The arrested man is being held at Sundrive Road garda station while the woman is being detained at Crumlin garda station.
Both are being questioned under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
