Two due in court after guns seizure in Louth

Two men are due to appear in court in the morning charged in connection with a gun and ammunitions seizure in Louth.

The men, aged 21 and 30, are being detained at Dundalk garda station.

Another man and a woman, who were questioned at Carrickmacross station, were released without charge yesterday.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

All four were detained after gardaí stopped and searched two cars in the Castlebellingham and Haggardstown areas outside Dundalk on Thursday evening.
