Shot fired during cash-in-transit robbery

A cash-in-transit van was robbed today by two men armed with a shotgun.

A cash-in-transit van was robbed today by two men armed with a shotgun.

One shot was fired during the heist outside the Bayside Shopping Centre in north Dublin at around 2pm.

Gardaí said two men approached the van and pulled out a firearm, believed to be a sawn-off shotgun and ordered the security staff to hand over money.

One shot was fired during the hold-up.

The two robbers made their getaway on a motorbike.

Gardaí at Raheny are investigating.
