Seamus Brennan funeral takes place

Hundreds of people have packed into the Church of the Holy Cross in Dundrum to pay their last respects to former Government minister Seamus Brennan.

The Dublin South TD died at his home on Wednesday at the age of 60.

The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, several cabinet ministers and members of the opposition are all in attendance at today's funeral service.

Mr Cowen is due to deliver the eulogy after communion.
