Hoey’s lawyer slams Omagh bomb trial 'whitewash'

A lawyer for the south Armagh man acquitted of involvement in the Omagh bombing has slammed a Policing Board report criticising the trial judge.

Mr Justice Weir had been highly critical of the PSNI's handling of the case and asked the Police Ombudsman to investigate two officers who admitted telling lies in the court.
