Kenny intends to lead FG into next general election

Enda Kenny says he intends to lead Fine Gael into the next general election.

Mr Kenny was questioned about his future intentions during a press conference today to announce the party's recruitment of a new councillor in Dublin Mid-West.

Derek Keating had previously been an independent councillor, but has decided to join the main opposition party.

Mr Kenny told reporters at today's conference that Fine Gael was more united than ever before and he still aimed to be the next Taoiseach.
