Teenager dies in Roscommon crash

An 18-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle accident in Co Roscommon this morning.

The car the teenager was driving went out of control and hit a ditch on the N61 at Curraghboy Road, Athlone, Co Roscommon at about 10am.

There was nobody else in the car at the time.

The teenager's body has been removed to Roscommon County Hospital.
