Man injured in Dublin shooting

A man was shot tonight as he sat in a car in a north Dublin suburb, gardaí said.

A man was shot tonight as he sat in a car in a north Dublin suburb, gardaí said.

The victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening after the gun attack at Buttercup Park in Darndale.

He was shot by a lone gunman just after 7pm, according to investigating officers.

The injured man is in his 20s, the Garda Press Office said.

“The male was sitting in a car when a lone gunman approached and discharged a firearm,” said a Garda spokesman.

“The man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information about the gun attack to get in contact with them at Coolock garda station.
