Down glass company to lay off 60 workers

A glass company in Co Down is set to lay off around 60 workers due to a downturn in demand for its products

Staff at the Toughglass facility in Kilkeel have been told that more than half the workforce are being made redundant.

The company, which makes toughened glass for the transport and construction industries, says it has experienced a sharp reduction in business.
