A 14-year-old thief, who stole €200 from a woman as she was making a withdrawal from an ATM on Dublin’s Grafton Street, has been ordered to pay compensation.

The boy, who is from Romania, pleaded guilty at the Dublin Children’s Court to the theft, which occurred on January 6 last. Garda Gavin O’Reilly told Judge Eamon O’Brien that the stolen money was not recovered.
