The head of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board is predicting that changes to its website will make it easier for people to lodge claims for compensation.

The head of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board is predicting that changes to its website will make it easier for people to lodge claims for compensation.

PIAB was set up four years ago and assesses the amount of compensation due to a person who has suffered a personal injury.

This means that claims are now being processed quicker and more effectively than through the courts.

Chief executive Patricia Byron said that the changes mean people can now use PIAB's website to pursue their claims with added privacy.
