Lisbon vote to dominate agenda at EU summit

The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, is expected to tell other EU leaders today that Ireland needs more time to consider the outcome of the Lisbon Treaty referendum.

The Irish electorate's rejection of the treaty is set to dominate a summit of EU heads of state in Brussels.
