One-third of burglaries take place during summer: Report

More than one-third of all home burglaries take place during the summer months, according to the latest statistics from eircom Phonewatch.

The organisation says Dublin still has the highest number of burglaries, with 35% of all break-ins happening in the capital.

Meanwhile, more than 90% of people do not tell their neighbours when they are going on holiday, but Eircom Phonewatch says small steps like this can protect houses from break-ins while their residents are away.
