Girl, 6, dies in Kerry road accident

A six-year-old girl has been killed after being struck by a car in Co Kerry.

It happened shortly before midday in East End in Ballybunion.

The little girl was a pedestrian and was killed in the single-vehicle accident.

The road remains closed and a technical examination in underway.

A total of four pedestrians have now been killed on Irish roads this weekend.
