Irish troops will continue mission in Chad, say Defence Forces

The Defence Forces have said that Irish troops will continue with their mission in Chad as normal after coming under fire yesterday afternoon.

It is understood that the troops became caught up in a clash between the Chadian army and rebels and were fired upon, although it's unclear which side fired the shots.
