Taoiseach to phone EU counterparts on Lisbon today

The Taoiseach will be in telephone contact with a number of his European counterparts today in a bid to deal with the fallout of the Lisbon Treaty defeat.

The Irish public voted by a margin of 53% to 47% to reject the amendment to the constitution that would have ratified the Treaty.
