European Commission president admits defeat on Lisbon

Ireland has rejected the Lisbon Treaty on European Union reform, according to President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso.

Reacting to the result, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso still called on other members states to ratify the treaty.
