Police officers in Derry came under attack with petrol bombs last night after responding to a hoax bomb alert in the Bogside area.

Police officers in Derry came under attack with petrol bombs last night after responding to a hoax bomb alert in the Bogside area.

Up to 40 youths were involved in the trouble, which erupted after bomb disposal experts were called to a report of suspect device attached to the windscreen of a vehicle.
