A street in Cork City has been closed to traffic today following the collapse of a derelict building.

A street in Cork City has been closed to traffic today following the collapse of a derelict building.

The building on Shandon Street came down at around midday, knocking over scaffolding on an adjacent construction site at Ferry Street and Friary Street.

A car and a phone box were also crushed, but nobody was injured in the incident.
