Cowen defends co-location policy amid Dáil criticism
The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, has defended the Government's policy of allowing private hospitals to be built on the grounds of public hospitals across the country.
Speaking in the Dáil today, Labour leader Eamon Gilmore said the so-called co-location system would be paid for by taxpayers and would only serve to deepen the two-tier nature of the health service.
